“It’s one of the most important albums of 2015 so far… 9/5” – Clash Magazine

“Like all good music, theirs, at its best, makes you see the world differently and expands your horizons” ~ The Guardian

“Real Lies could be one of 2015’s most important young bands”Time Out

“They’re the closest thing we’ve got to a modern day New Order: they mine the UK’s long and rich relationship to dance music, convey a sense of belonging in being on the outside of cosy suburbia, and find beauty in the greyest places”FADER

“Real Lies sound like the sort of thing that no one else is making but everyone should be hearing”Vice / Noisey

“There’s a more important, underlying commonality Real Lies get at—they are unabashed romantics, respectful of the potential listener’s fathomless longing, incapacitating nostalgia and the belief that these feelings and the fleeting, intense relationships responsible for them are worthy of being presented on a grand scale.”Pitchfork

“Real Life is fiercely in the present… 4/5” – NME

Over the past two years, Real Lies have developed into one of our most talked-about new bands. Navigating intuitively through their early single releases – a sublimely evocative video here, a word-of-mouth warehouse party there, a midweek London club night (‘Eternal’) that became the stuff of legend and, of course, a collection of defining, youthful pop songs that could simultaneously conjure up feelings of both euphoria and melancholy.
Their debut album Real Life (released October 16th) has been met with great acclaim from NME, Dummy and Clash, as well as being featured via a full album stream on The Guardian online. Real Lies embody exactly what it is to be young, locked in and yet somewhat adrift in Britain today.
