MMODE are an Irish sibling duo, Lucy and Thomas Gaffney. Their childhood home in Belfast was always full of different sounds from a broad array of genres picked from their parents' record collection and, while the pair had their own individual favourites, they bonded over a shared love of artists like Radiohead and Air. Thomas began playing guitar around the age of 12 and started writing his own songs shortly thereafter, a couple of years later Lucy joined him, adding harmonies to his compositions. MMODE charts Lucy and Thomas’ journey, it’s a refreshing listen savvily weaving big pop hooks into its layers of intrigue.
